About

Sean Green

The photographer

Born 4 March 1968 in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Sean Green has lived and practiced his art in Africa, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and his newest home, Tokyo, Japan.

Sean chose Tokyo because of its modern, stimulating, and ever-changing culture: art, music, cuisine, and the creative people behind them inspire and give form to his avocation and passion―photography.

A national of Great Britain but a true citizen of the world, Sean now seeks to make his own artistic contribution to Tokyo through his beautiful and sensuous images of the people living here.

The philosophy

Photographs to be kept and enjoyed for a lifetime―this is always my goal," says Sean.  He seeks to bring out the best in each beginning or experienced model he photographs. Every session is unique.

Professional but with an extra sparkle. If erotic, always tasteful.  By emphasizing a model's best qualities through modern technology and a gentle but tenacious approach, Sean creates beautiful, impressive, and truly artistic images.

"Everyone has beauty to offer, and the satisfaction of this craft comes from leading that beauty to a lasting image."

The studio

Sean's art is supported by the best in modern digital photographic technologies.  For most shoots Sean employs the Nikon D100, which provides 6.1 megapixel resolution and exceptional color range. For illumination, four Bowens Esprit 500 W studio flashlights.  Umbrellas, softboxes, diffusers, reflectors, and a selection of backdrops make this studio fully equipped to convey any nuance of emotion.

The digital darkroom

The Epson Maxart 6000 produces top-quality prints in sizes up to A2 (17" wide), while a full range of software, including Adobe Photoshop, allows for precise image tuning and output in all standard formats (TIFF, JPEG, etc.).
